Fence designs

Fencing design is as much about location and configuration as it is height and detailing.

Due to the flexibility of fencing, it can take on virtually any alignment from long sweeping curves to small box like enclosures. Fencing can be a strong design element or it can be made to disappear into the background of the landscape. All these decisions are made by your landscape designer in the process of creating an overall site plan that is both attractive and functional.

Retaining walls

A retaining wall is a specially designed structure that holds soil on one side and is free standing on the other. They help to accommodate changes in grade in a landscape with uneven topography. These walls often allow steeper cuts to a slope to yield more usable space on a cut-and-fill hillside lot. Hard working retaining walls can be key to creating a level sports lawn or driveway too.

Retaining walls are also used on level ground to raise living spaces above the surrounding ground plain. A well designed retaining wall can elevate planting areas for improved drainage while at the same time creating a seat wall. There is no end to the benefits of these heavy barriers, but they can be costly and must be strictly constructed to prevent failure.

Installing a Block Driveway

Clearing all the area for the installation of a block pave driveway

The area was dug out and hardcore laid and levelled

Once the area was levelled and compacted, a weed free membrane was laid

Sharp sand is laid to the correct levels and then the blocks can be laid 

The edgings need to be installed first for our borders (a variety of edgings can be used)

Once the blocks have been laid, we sweep the block paving to remove any dirt, debris etc.
